THE RIGHTEOUS PROJECT INC.

Building a Pipeline to Success

Our vision to reduce youth violence, strengthen literacy, increase graduation rates, and prepare Denver’s next generation of community leaders.

Every young person deserves access to people who believe in them, opportunities that challenge them, and support that stays consistent as they grow. The Righteous Project Inc. hopes to bring our community together to build that pathway, from middle school through the first years of adulthood.

A community initiative in development

A Stronger Future Starts With Connection

Reducing violence and increasing graduation rates starts with the way we connect with our youth. Our vision is to build a community-wide support system where young people don’t have to wonder who to turn to or where to go for help.

The Change We Hope to Achieve

Literacy and Learning

We hope to see every middle schooler reading at or above grade level, with consistent tutoring that keeps them on track.

Graduation and Next Steps

Our goal is a 100% graduation rate for participants, with every student having a clear plan for college, trade school, or a career.

Safety and Belonging

We aim to reduce youth involvement in violence by providing safe spaces and mentors who provide consistent, positive guidance.

Financial and Digital Confidence

We want every young adult to enter the workforce with the digital skills they need and the financial literacy to manage their earnings.

Community Leadership

We vision a Denver where today’s youth are prepared to be tomorrow’s nonprofit leaders, business owners, and city officials.

Stronger Nonprofits

By supporting the organizations that support our youth, we hope to build a more stable and sustainable nonprofit sector for our city.

Support That Grows With Our Youth

The Youth Success Pathway is a proposed model for long-term engagement. Rather than a one-time program, it is designed to be a continuous journey of support that adapts to the specific needs and milestones of each young person from middle school through their first career steps.

1
Middle School

Discover and Build

Focusing on literacy, study habits, and personal interests. Students would be introduced to the idea of financial literacy through games and community projects.

2
Early High School

Develop and Explore

Students would begin more formal financial education, explore different career paths, and be matched with a mentor who shares their professional interests.

3
Preparing for Graduation

Plan and Practice

Intensive support for college applications, trade school enrollment, or career certifications. Students would practice digital skills and manage a mock budget based on their goals.

4
Early Adulthood

Grow and Lead

Continued access to career coaching, networking with local business owners, and opportunities to return to the pathway as a mentor for younger participants.

Along this pathway, we vision each participant having a designated support contact, a personal success plan that is updated annually, and direct introductions to the community members and organizations that can help them take their next step.

Preparing Youth for the Roles That Shape Our City

Public Service and Policy

For those who want to lead city agencies, serve in local government, or advocate for community-wide change.

Education and Mentorship

Forming the next generation of teachers, counselors, and program leaders who will support the youth who follow them.

Nonprofit Leadership

Building the skills to manage organizations, secure funding, and coordinate essential services for Denver residents.

Business and Social Enterprise

Preparing entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses that prioritize community well-being alongside growth.

Professional Services

Developing expertise in Law, Design, Technology, and Finance to ensure our community’s institutions are built by its own members.

Young people should have room to discover their interests, change direction, and define success for themselves.

Different Strengths With a Shared Purpose

We are not building this alone. A sustainable pipeline to youth success requires different organizations working in coordination, each focusing on what they do best.

The Righteous Project Inc.

We would contribute program coordination, paid staff management, and the organizational structure to support the long-term vision.

Adventures of the Heart

We hope to build on their experience in literacy support and foundational education for younger learners.

Anchored in Hope

We hope to explore collaboration in youth wellness and mental health support services.

Additional Organizations We Hope to Engage

Aurora Community Farm

Black American West Museum

Clayton Early Learning

Denver Public Library

Junior Achievement Rocky Mountain

The Urban Farm

Venture Prep

Organizations are identified for potential collaboration. Inclusion does not indicate endorsement, a signed partnership, or a commitment to provide services for this proposed initiative.

Consistency Takes People Who Keep Showing Up

Visionary goals require reliable hands. We hope to develop a coordinated network of volunteers supported by paid coordination, ensuring every youth in the pathway has the consistent presence they deserve.

Mentoring and tutoring support
Food pantry and resource assistance
Career coaching and youth opportunities
Events and administrative support
Technology, accounting, and other professional skills

Access to food and essential resources would never depend on a family volunteering or enrolling in another program.

Accountability to Our Community

We propose to focus on long-term outcomes that matter to families. Our progress would be measured by indicators such as:

Youth literacy levels and academic confidence.

Middle-to-high school transition success rates.

On-time graduation and post-secondary enrollment.

Consistency and quality of student-mentor connections.

Digital and financial proficiency of participants.

Stability and funding growth of participating nonprofits.

Community reported feelings of belonging and safety.

Help Prepare the Next Generation of Community Leaders

Building a successful pipeline of future leaders takes connection, consistency, and a community that acts together. We hope you will join us.

Supporting the Organizations That Support Our Community

The Righteous Project Inc. vision includes a dedicated hub providing the technical and organizational support that local nonprofits need to grow, sustain their work, and deepen their community impact.

Organizational Readiness

Guidance on nonprofit structure, board development, and meeting the requirements for 501(c)(3) status and other certifications.

Grant and Funding Preparation

Support in identifying funding opportunities, preparing high-quality grant applications, and developing sustainable fundraising plans.

Operational Support

Access to professional services like bookkeeping, digital strategy, and legal guidance, helping leaders focus on their core mission.

Leadership Continuity

Workshops and mentorship focused on building internal pipelines and ensuring community organizations remain strong through leadership transitions.

Built With the Community and Designed to Last

Reducing youth violence and creating generational change is not a quick fix. This vision is built to evolve with our community over the next decade.

1

Step 1: Listening and Refinement

We are meeting with families, students, and community leaders to refine this vision based on direct feedback and Denver’s changing needs.

2

Step 2: Capacity Building and Partnerships

Securing initial funding, identifying core staffing, and confirming the first group of collaborating organizations.

3

Step 3: Pilot Implementation

Launching the first phase of the Youth Success Pathway with a small group of students and the first nonprofit support hub services.

4

Step 4: Regional Scale and Evaluation

Expanding the network of support contact nodes across Denver neighborhoods while measuring student outcomes across all pathways.
